Pissed consumer thankyou you sorted out my problem with Getaroom

Could not get hold of Getaroom by phone and had deleted email so didn't have any confirmation info . Needed to cancel rooms due to Covid 19. Tried ringing various no's with no success . Googled getaroom and found they are a company with some bad reviews . Also found link to pissed consumer , they managed to get through to company very quickly and I soon had a email reply from Getaroom cancelling my room booking. Would recommend using passed consumer if you have any problems getting hold of companies.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. wow that was quick. Sent full refund.

Booked Ramada Inn in July 2021 for Oct 8-10 and never received an email. Thought I was going directly thru Ramada. I called in September to Ramada as I was nervous as I could not find email. They gave me a reservation number and thought I was all set. Called on Oct 5 to cancel and they stated that I had to cancel thru the booking agent. I asked them who it was and they said Consumer Club, aka Get A Room. Called to cancel and they charged me for both rooms and booking fee. Stated they follow hotel cancellation police which is 24 hours.

please contact the federal trade commission and file a complaint. what they did is wrong and the occasionally appear to correct it or its them making the complaint and then "correcting it"

refund of room not service fee

Requesting a refund due to cancelled event because of coronavirus.

At first a rep told me I could not get a refund even after I explained the situation. I later asked to speak with someone else. They contacted me immediately! Long story short...I've been promised a refund! That is so fair since these circumstances were out of my control. Thanks so much! We look forward to reschedule in the future. A very nice lady from their main office called me Karen B and she corrected the matter immediately. She was very understanding and very easy to speak with an I greatly appreciate her and the time she took to personally call and resolve.

I booked a room tonight for my daughters gymnastics meet. I booked my room at the wrong location. I called to cancel and book at the right location. The guy who answered GRACIOUSLY helped me book a new room at the right location before he transferred me to a customer service rep to cancel my other room. I got to the first customer service rep who was rude, short and not the leadt bit helpful and basically said too bad, we dont refund therr is nothing you can do its at our discretion. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told it was basically pointless.... but a "service ticket" would be made with a note of why I want to cancel...NOT TO MENTION MY BOOKING WAS A MONTH AWAY. I called the hotel directly and they said they cant do anything to help because its through a 3rd party. I called get a room again to see if I could get someone slightly more understanding. I explained my mistake...explained I just booked another room through them so they havent lost anything, the booking is a month away and i got the same story...they cannot do anything...she offered her supervisor and when i accepted they were unavailable and i was given an email. It is my fault for booking in rush but SHAME ON GETAROOM for your POOR, PITIFUL SHAMEFUL business practices. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM.
