They charged me $299 a night for a room and the hotel was actually charging $119 a night

Over charged me total rip-off they refused to refund the difference in cost. Customer service was awful and not in the USA. User's recommendation: They up charged me. No savings

Fraudulent charges

The hotel was willing to cancel the reservations with zero penalties and we canceled BEFORE getaroom.coms policy said we had to for no refund but when I spoke to getaroom, they insisted the hotel was enforcing the cancellation policy, which is why they (getaroom) was charging is the full amount of the room! I spoke with the hotel on three separate occasions and they said they were never contacted by the getaroom representatives and that, once again, they were not going to charge getaroom for our room. So getaroom basically stole our money.

I didn't get a refund I was promised

Getaroom - I didn't get a refund I was promised
I tried to make a reservation on a hotel site. I didnt realize it was on this 3rd party booking site which charged exhorbitant fees. I immediately cancelled and got an email that said cancelled but no money back. I called the credit card company to dispute. After they investigated, they wouldnt give my money back. I called getaroom on August 16. The person I talked to said they would put the money back on my card. They never have put it back. The hotel says they should and have waived any fee. I cannot get any customer service person on the phone. This is fraud. I got nothing and paid $675!!!

I was booking a room for my husband at Louisville and thought I was going through the hotel's website directly. What a surprise to see that my card was charged with a $30 extra fee for cleaning etc. *** I called them immediately (the site did not tell me this when I booked it) and was told too bad, although I had just made the reservation a few minutes earlier. I asked for a MGR and was told NO. i called the hotel like they suggested and was told "i dont know why they told you that. I disputed it with Amex. But those people will probably just lie. to NOT NOT NOT use this site ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!his."

Not with get a room but with the Wild bear Inn. I just booked through get a room. Spiders in the room. They take people pet.deposit say they refund it upon cleaning but keep your 100.00 deposit. The restaurant was closed all days we stayed there. Phone didn't work. Wi-fi didn't work. Didn't offer to me to make anything right. Refund or nothing. All I got to say is it's false advertising. Stay at your own risk.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. After posting the negative review, the company contacted me a gave me a full refund. I would suggest that they make getting a refund easier than having to post a negative review..

Unhappy

It all started with a Google search. I don't know I ended up there site and even booked a room; led to believe I was booking directly with the hotel chain central. The CS was highly friendly upon booked. I found out I am paying much more than I expected for a queen bed and a lousy 2star hotel. I tried getting on the phone to cancel and phone service is terrible. I'm writing a review in good hopes that this company changes their methods so that other costumers don't have the same experience and waste of time and money

Gross overcharge on “taxes and fees”

I thought I was on the website of the hotel I was booking with, looks exactly the same. After I had reserved I noticed a $636.00 fee in addition to the price of the rooms. I initially thought this was resort fee. I called the number on reservation and asked about it, and they said they werent sure but it had to do with taxes etc paid to the hotel. When I checked in I asked again and thats when I got the news that I hadnt in fact been on the hotel's website. I have resolved to the best Getaroom would offer which is $370. Refund. Almost ruined my girls weekend with my nieces. Be careful when making reservations, this is a terrible scheme.

Reservation issue
