On 2-15-21 I rented a room at the doubletree hotel in Galveston during the cold blackout. When I tried to check in the hotel was closed due to the blackout so I was unable to check in but my card was charged

Monetary Loss: $280.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Getaroom Cons: Needed a room and hotel closed upon check in.

If we have failed to meet your expectations, we appreciate you letting us know, so we can continue to improve our services. We understand from the complaint, when you arrived at the hotel , it was closed due to storm. We spoke with the hotel who stated that although the hotel lost power, they were not closed and checking in all guest until the generator kicked in. However, in an effort to resolve your concerns and as a gesture of goodwill, we will be issuing a refund in the amount of ($280.49) back to the original form of payment.

This refund has been processed today and it will take approximately 3 – 5 business days to post back to your account. We regret any inconvenience or frustration that this experience has caused you and hope you find this gesture to be sincere and in good faith. Thank you in advance for re-rating your customer service experience or removing your negative experience on the PissedConsumer site.
