I thought I was on the Hampton Inn's website but the Getaroom site was designed to trick consumers into believing just that. Searches show decent hotel prices but then come the "Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees." For me, a 3-night hotel stay cost me an extra $155 in these BS fees.

Their customer service line is an absolute joke and there are no refunds. Lesson learned!

User's recommendation: MAKE SURE you are on the website of the actual hotel.
