This morning (2/12/2020) my eldest sister passed away in her sleep. My mother called to book a room and unbeknownst to her the company placed the wrong dates.

After being in the car for 3 hours, (leaving Austin, Texas and traveling to Lansing, Michigan) my mother had still not gotten a confirmation email.

We called the hotel and they informed us that our reservation was confirmed for March 14... we needed February 13. After calling Get A Room multiple times, and having numerous people tell us we could not talk to a supervisor there was nothing else we could do.

There is no other number to call, there is no corporate number you can contact. No one was willing to listen or help, only take our money.

So now we are out a sister(daughter, foster mother) $6,000 for a cremation and $500 for a hotel that was never used.

Monetary Loss: $577.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Getaroom Pros: Mistakes are set in stone, No pros cons beware of what your paying, That i know now never to use this company again.

Getaroom Cons: Deceptive and predatory business practices, Blatent dishonesty and theivery, Completely unhelpful, Unwilling to allow anyone to talk to a manager.
